Because of Mandy is a foster based animal rescue based out of Calumet, MI and devoted to saving dogs from euthanization in high-kill shelters across the U.S. The goal is to find forever homes for every rescued dog and to raise awareness about kill shelters and animal abuse/neglect. Every dog deserves a second chance. We are incorporated through the state of MI. We are a foster based rescue, we are NOT a shelter.
Founded in 2010 by Aimee Lyn Ryding, Because of Mandy was the result of a rescued Puggle named Mandy. Aimee found Mandy in an Indiana high-kill shelter where she was exposed to the horrible suffering that thousands of animals endure on a daily basis. It is because of Mandy that this organization exists today to rescue dogs from these inhumane circumstances. |
