Because of Mandy is a foster based animal rescue whose central location is in Calumet, Michigan. Devoted to saving dogs from euthanasia in high-kill shelters across the U.S., Because of Mandy's goal is to find forever homes for every rescued dog, and to raise awareness about kill shelters and animal abuse/neglect. Every dog deserves a second chance. We are a 501(c)3 charity. We are not a shelter, we rely solely on volunteer fosters to provide temporary homes for the dogs we rescue until their forever family comes along.
Founded in 2010 by Aimee Lyn Ryding, Because of Mandy was the result of a rescued Puggle named Mandy. Aimee found Mandy in an Indiana high-kill shelter where she was exposed to the horrible suffering that thousands of animals endure on a daily basis. It is because of Mandy that this organization exists today to rescue dogs from these inhumane circumstances. Pardon our "dust!" We are under major reconstruction! |
